Ventec DS 400 Retractive Day Switch

A clean, surface-mounted momentary switch that gives occupants simple manual control of natural ventilation without touching fire mode. Wires straight into the day-switch input on the AOV control panel.

What it does

The DS 400 is a momentary retractive switch — on press, it sends a single open signal to the AOV control panel; on release, the contact opens again. Ventilators stay open until the panel’s auto-close criteria are met (timer, rain detection, wind threshold or occupant close action). The switch does not interfere with fire mode at any point.

Where it’s specified

Specified for commercial buildings, offices, schools and residential developments where occupants need a simple, discreet way to call for natural ventilation. The DS 400 is the standard day-use switch in O Range and 400 Series SHEVS installations and meets the BS 7346 requirement for occupant ventilation control.

Integration with the AOV system

Wired into the day-switch input on the AOV control panel using 3-core + earth cable. Multiple DS 400 units can be placed across floors or wings to allow distributed manual control. All occupant actions remain subordinate to fire / smoke detection signals on the panel.
