CD 400 — CO₂ sensor for demand-controlled ventilation

A roof- or wall-mounted CO₂ sensor that drives the O Range AOV system on real-time air quality — opening ventilators when occupancy pushes CO₂ up, closing them when the space empties, while smoke detection always takes priority.

CO₂ MONITORING
Continuously measures ambient CO₂ from 0–2000 ppm and signals the O Range panel when thresholds are exceeded.
DEMAND-CONTROLLED
Triggers ventilator opening to flush stale CO₂-rich air, closing once levels return to normal.
FIRE OVERRIDE
Overridden by any confirmed smoke event — life-safety ventilation always takes priority.
CONFIGURABLE
Site-set threshold (typically 1000–1500 ppm) tailored to room use, occupancy and project standards.
0–2000ppm Range
24VAC/DC SELV
150gWeight

What it does

The CD 400 continuously samples ambient CO₂ concentration and, when the configured threshold is exceeded, signals the O Range panel to open the ventilators serving that space. As CO₂ falls back to acceptable levels, the panel closes the ventilators — delivering air quality control without continuous manual intervention. The result is energy-efficient, occupancy-responsive natural ventilation.

The sensor connects to the dedicated CO₂ sensor input on compatible O Range panels, and any smoke or fire signal at the panel immediately overrides the daily ventilation logic.

Who it’s for

Specified by M&E engineers, sustainability consultants and building services designers on projects where occupant wellbeing, BREEAM credits or indoor air quality standards drive the ventilation strategy. The CD 400 is particularly valuable in schools, offices and meeting rooms where CO₂ levels fluctuate significantly with occupancy throughout the day.

Integration

Connects to the O Range smoke control panel via the CO₂ sensor input. Threshold and dwell are configured through O Range Connect — allowing different setpoints across zones (e.g. classroom vs corridor) on the same panel.
