Maglock Card

What the maglock card does

The Maglock Card provides supervised, low-voltage power outputs to magnetic door locks installed on AOV doors, escape routes and ventilation drop-down doors. In normal operation the outputs are energised, holding the maglocks locked; on a confirmed smoke event from the O Range panel, the outputs de-energise, releasing the doors automatically.

Each output is mapped to a specific zone or zone group in O Range Connect, allowing the building’s fire strategy to dictate exactly which doors release on which smoke event — without compromising security on unaffected routes.

Where it fits in the system

The card is specified wherever the AOV strategy requires automatic door release — typically on stair-pressurisation systems, lobby drop-down doors and protected route access doors. It removes the need for a separate fire alarm relay interface and keeps the entire release chain within the supervised O Range bus.
