Environmental inputs for the O Range panel
The Environmental Relay Card extends the O Range smoke control panel with dedicated volt-free contact (VFC) inputs for wind, rain, thermostat and BMS integration — so daily ventilation reacts to real-world conditions, while smoke detection always takes priority.
What the relay card does
The Environmental Relay Card adds isolated VFC input channels to the O Range smoke ventilation control panel, allowing the panel to receive close-on-wind, close-on-rain, temperature override and BMS commands without compromising the integrity of the life-safety wiring.
Each input is mapped through O Range Connect to one or more zones or motor outputs — so the system can drive purpose-built ventilation strategies (overnight purge, summer day ventilation, weather-protected operation) alongside its primary AOV duty.
Where it fits in the system
The card sits in an O Range panel expansion slot and is wired into the environmental sensor field devices — typically a WS400 wind sensor, RS 400 rain sensor or W400 weather station. Status indication is shown on the panel face, and every actuated event is timestamped for the Golden Thread audit trail.
